Community involvement and education are essential functions of our department. Public Utilities provides a number of services to help the community use water wisely, including free water conservation presentations, a generous toilet rebate program, and tips to make conserving water a daily part of your life.
Helping our residents appreciate the value of water often starts with our youngest generations. Public Utilities hosts an annual Water Awareness Calendar Contest for grades K-5, offers in-school performances about wise water use and is available for classroom projects and presentations.
Through our WaterSense partnership, Virginia Beach Public Utilities joins others around the country in a mission to protect the future of our nation's water supply. For information on WaterSense products and services that meet EPA criteria for efficiency and performance, visit epa.gov/WaterSense.
