More InformationThe water and sanitary sewer systems in the Laurel Cove neighborhood will be replaced.
The Department of Public Utilities is replacing approximately 3,300 feet of sanitary sewer force main in addition to approximately 3,600 feet of water main along sections of Meadow Lake Road and Laurel Cove Drive. Work will also be completed at the sanitary sewer pump station located at 1324 Meadow Lake Road.
This work is being conducted as part of the Virginia Beach Department of Public Utilities' Aging Infrastructure Program.
These systems, installed during the neighborhood’s construction in the 1970s, have reached the end of their useful life. This project will improve the public infrastructure serving the neighborhood and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
